Manual Lymph Drainage

Our Therapist are trained and qualified on Dr. Vodder Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD).

Manual Lymph Drainage (MLD) is a specialized medical massage technique developed by Dr. Vodder in 1936 in Paris, primarily targeting swollen lymph nodes and extremities. It should not be mistaken for a regular wellness massage!

The training typically lasts four to five weeks full-time, with a final exam conducted by both a therapist and a doctor (MD) specialized in lymphology. This education is exclusively available to certified medical massage therapists (who have completed a two-year full-time program) or practitioners with a higher medical degree (e.g., PT, MD, etc.).

MLD is an evidence-based treatment, with research from North America, Europe, and Australia confirming its effectiveness both as a standalone therapy and in combination with other treatments. Today, it is a standard procedure in hospitals, widely used for orthopedic conditions as well as systemic disorders.

Before scheduling a session, always ask the therapist for a valid certification. Lack of awareness regarding contraindications could lead to serious or even life-threatening complications.

If you have never had MLD before, please contact us before booking an appointment.
